Raya in Sheffield

"Saya, penyimpan mohor besar raja-raja melayu mengisytiharkan hari raya aidilfitri pada tahun ini jatuh pada hari sabtu bersamaan 13 November 2004...." No such announcement on SKYTV...so hv to made my own version...haaha.. I was just so shocked that raya was on Saturday...There was Takbir Raya at 5 Filey on raya eve... The next day, we went to Karachi Store for Solat Aidilfitri.. some had their solat at Islamic Centre but since i was late, i opted for Karachi Store... heehee..woke up late since hving almost sleepless nite...Then dropped by at some frens house (Wawa& Lan, Diyana)..at 2.30, we went to Barnsley (Kak Nurul & abg Lan place) for raya visit..
The next day, went to 38 FIley open house (Niza, Linda & Jia), Kak Siti's place in Darnall, Jah's place at Wilkinson Street & 5Filey (Aida)...hving lotsa nasi impit, kuah kacang, kuih raya...aaargh..
Miss my mom Pineaple Tart, masak lodeh(especially tempe) & chicken rendang as well...

Kebabish Berbuka Gathering

Again, since there were requests for berbuka gathering, we've organized a last minute one at Kebabish...Still few of us were not be able to join since it was a last minute decision... Hmm..yummy  ...the food was delicious...but we din get the free appetizer this time..just a plate of dates..but alhamdulillah..better than nothing!

Weston Park

It was a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning...With red & yellow autumn looks, we have some pics in Weston Park, Sheffield...just a few minutes walk from Filey Street...So excited to take shots until we finished the 128M memory...hahhaha...just the 2 of us went there..so we have to take pics of each other & took our pics on our own..

London Bridge is Falling Down

This was my second attempt ..not sure which key i've accidentally pressed on...the things i've written disappeared..i've wrote a long, nice story just now.. 
Well, for those who has viewed this entry, this is the updated version..just completed uploading all the photos in my cam..we've shared camera to save memory & battery..its only me who brought charger...luckily 2 of us using Sony cam, so we can sawp memory sticks..
Woo hoo..it was self study week for MSc Control System Student and we've chosen to hv it in London  ... We arrived in the metropolitan city at 1pm, 11th Oct, checked in at Msia Hall.. the easiest place we've ever known as we were still strangers in UK..Had our lunch in the cafeteria and guessed what, we met the late "Hang Tuah" but not with Puteri Gunung Ledang  ...snapped a shot wit them..our tour began with Hyde Park..it was colder there...fortunately i brought along my long coat..thot london wasnt as cold as Sheffield..we've proceeded to Kensington where we dropped by at Hard Rock Cafe & Harrods..we din hv much time since hd to rush to Kak Ina's (Muhajir's Cousin) in Whitechapel (border of Zone 1 & 2)..Kak Ina's place was really cosy & poshy plus the nice food..Thanks Kak Ina  with overload "storage", we ran to catch the undergound so that we reached Msia Hall before 11pm..hmm..we've exceeded the the curfew...hahah..no worries..
We were new to London & UK..
The next day, we went to Madame Tussaud, a must go place in London..to me, its worth my 22pound for the entrance fee..took pictures wit famous ppl in the world...some looked damned real..
Explored the haunted area, which was included in our package..hahaha..we scared the ghosts too.. and even asked them the way out...haunted turned into humour..continued our journey to Tower Bridge of London (aka London Bridge).. though its raining, we've just enjoying our tour..went to Trafalgar Square, Natinal Art Museum...we were lacked of time since we've spent lot of time at Madame Tussaud..hmm..looks like need another trip or two to London  At night, we have to catch Fatimah at Bayswater Starbucks...hahah..included in our must-do list for trip to London..this time, we din break the curfew rule..
The last day, we went to Picadilly Circus.. i wpuld describe it as shopping street..we din go to place of attractions since we have to catch the bus at 3.35 in Victoria..even though we have rushed in our last "jalan-jalan in London", 3 of us still missed the bus 0) so we've to get a new ticket at 5pm...no regret...
All in all, i like the little old Sheffield even though London is much better in many ways...I like London minus the old underground(like in Harry Potter), hassle, poshy lifestyle..Even though its hard to find Starbucks here in Sheffield but its good so that i wont spend more pence on mochas..

We went to a park near Goodwin Sport Centre...thot it was Weston Park but it wasnt...so we just snapped some pictures since we've spared time to reach the place for this session...Since it was nearly sunset, the surrounding seemed darker... 0)

St George

I didnt have much time to take photos..this place is just opposite of engineering school... only today i've got the chance for some shots...St George was a church converted to a lecture hall..hopefully i wont have any lecture there..the place & surrounding seemed scary...what do u expect from an old church!! I think i look bigger in my new winter coat...oh noo...luckily Ramadhan is coming...time to get in shape...

My first carboot in Sheffield..I've explored 3 carboots the week before in Manchester...Looks like i knew Manch well rather than Shef...hahha..Its becos of Fahima...the carboot queen!!! Those are the items i've sorted out after a long, cold tour at the carboot..an old mirror, mirror on the stand, cute, lil teapots and green sunflowers, only at carboot!!!
